'The Talk' Learning Resource

The Talk
Learning Resource

Overview

I led end-to-end design for 'The Talk' Learning Resource, an educational package promoting racial literacy across UK schools. From ideation through final production, I directed the art and design development, establishing a cohesive visual language and ensuring consistency across all deliverables.

The project included the creation of printed materials, digital assets, and motion content in which I established a cohesive design language.

The resource includes a series of flashcards, trivia and biographical cards, and four short motion graphic films, each designed to communicate complex narratives with clarity and accessibility.

The visual strategy focused on educational readability, cultural resonance, and long-term usability within teaching contexts. The final output delivers a unified, flexible brand system that supports meaningful classroom dialogue around race, identity and equality.

“This is a very high-quality resource that has been very well thought out [...] It will not only upskill teachers but give young people useful access to important information.”

“I like the research and the achievement Geoff [Professor Sir Godfrey H.O. Palmer OBE] made, and I like to see Black history videos of their achievements and education. Lilian Bader sounds very special, being the first Black female to join the army. Black history inspires me to keep learning and understand education.”
